7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Join us for a conversation with renowned school food advocate and “Renegade Lunch Lady” Chef Ann Cooper. Chef Ann is an internationally recognized author, chef, educator, public speaker, and advocate of healthy food for all children. In a nation where kids are born with shorter estimated life expectancies than their parents due to diet-related disease, Chef Ann has been a constant champion of school food reform as an important avenue through which to improve childhood nutrition.
This event is free and open to the public, and is co-hosted with the Urban Farm. Prior to Chef Ann’s talk, we’ll hear from local representatives working to nourish healthy school food systems, including Kid Food Matters, School Garden Project, Oregon Farm to School and School Garden Network, Food For Lane County Youth Farm, The Village School, Willamette Farm & Food Coalition, and more!
Free and open to the public!
